A nicely carved and polychromed wooden santo of Mary, Help of Christians, the Madonna depicted standing on a cloud and holding the crowned Christ-child. Glass eyes and tin crown.
Measures 22" x 8 1/4" x 7 3/4".
There is a pronounced vertical crack along the back of the santo. Wears to the paint. Horizontal cracking around the Madonna's neck. The Madonna has no crown or scepter, and the child has no hands.
