Art Nouveau illustrations of the four classical elements ("Air," "Water," "Earth," and "Fire") represented as goddesses, reminiscent of the imagery of Alphonse Mucha. Half-tone letterpress print in colors, with all four figures on a single sheet. Housed in the original oak frame with classical tin mounts and four picture windows. Circa early 20th century.

The glazed frame measures 8" x 13 1/2". The sheet has moisture staining across much of the "Fire" illustration and across a top corner of the "Earth" illustration. The sheet shows some evenly distributed mat burn. The frame is a little bit bowed with some of the pieces in need of re-gluing.
