An oak serpentine commode of three drawers, from the French region of Alsace-Lorraine, late 18th century. Top planks affixed with two dozen dowels. Cast "cameo" drawer pulls and urn-motif escutcheons.

Condition
Evidence of wood worm across several areas. The foremost top board has separated from the other top boards, leaving a small groove along the top. Two corners on the drawer fronts have old repairs. There is a little bit of splitting to the wood on one of the side panels.
