A nicely painted late Victorian portrait of a gentleman in fine attire, oil on canvas, circa 1900. Offered in a gold-tone frame with molded gesso detail, measuring 37 1/2" x 32 1/2". The canvas measures 30" x 25".
The painting is in good condition, noting a small hole in the canvas at the extreme top edge caused by rubbing against the frame, which may be hidden by the frame's sight edge depending on how the canvas sits in the frame. No notable issues detected under blacklight inspection. Losses to the gesso molding near the frame's sight edge.
