14K yellow gold Elgin pocket watch with movement serial number 3937897. Marked on the movement is "Elgin Natl Watch Co, safety Pinion". The case is 39mm not including the stem and has a floral and leaf etching on the front and back with a small village inside a frame on the back. The interior of the case is marked "6088008 Warranted 14K U.S. Assay B.W.C.Co". It has an enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours, a seconds register, blue steel batons and is marked "Elgin". The watch weighs 36.5dwt.
The watch winds and ticks but has not been checked for time accuracy. There is mild wear and scuffing to the case, the dial is in very good condition.
