Two antique cast iron weathervane directionals, each circa 1900s. The first has a ruby-cut-to-clear glass panel inserted to the tail with a comet and crescent moon decoration in commemoration of the 1910 appearance of Halley's Comet. The second is topped with a hollow-bodied copper running horse.
The directionals measures 23" and 24" in length, respectively.
Condition
Typical oxidation and pitting to the iron directionals. The copper horse has a few bullet holes, and a small loss at one knee that makes it a little bit less stable. The glass insert is a cloudy in areas, no chips.
