Three assorted Navajo wool weavings:

1. A Gallup throw, having a cream ground and a design of three Yei deities detailed in blue, gold, and black. Hand-spun wool yarn with machine-spun cotton warp, circa mid-20th century. Measures 17" x 33".

2. A single saddle blanket, hand-spun wool yarn, circa 1960s, having bands of cream, black, yellow, orange, and light blue. Measures 25" x 29".

3. A small single saddle blanket, hand-spun wool yarn, circa 1930s, having a cream ground with central diamond design of red, black, and orange, and two flanking half diamonds of orange and gray. An old retail tag identifies the piece as Germantown, but that appears to be spurious. Measures 20" x 19".

Condition

The Yei throw is in very good condition. The banded saddle blanket has several small holes or snags toward the center. The smaller saddle blanket has some staining in one corner of the cream ground.
