A 1971 First Day of Issue 8-cent stamp & postcard commemorating Thomas Hart Benton's mural "Independence and the Opening of the West" (1961) at the Truman Library, hand-signed in black pen by the artist. Behind the postcard is Benton's personal letterhead envelope. Framed together with a 1974 limited edition offset lithograph self-portrait, numbered in pencil (7/40). All presented behind glass in a frame that measures 12 1/2" x 19 1/2".
Very good condition, with no apparent issues. Not removed from the frame.
