Pencil-signed "Benton" in the lower right margin. The sheet measures 12" x 16". Hinged to a cardboard back mat and housed in protective foamboard, measuring 14" x 18". From an edition of 250, circulated by Associated American Artists.
Of Loading Corn, Benton commented: "Autumn in Missouri. To be seen on most hill farms. The problem with these subjects is not to find them but to find them in a pictorially workable setting."

Very good condition. The sheet is not laid down, but hinged to a back mat at the top corners. Mat burn to the sheet from contact with the cardboard back mat. The sheet is beautifully flat and uncreased.
