The Innocents Abroad by Twain (signed "S.L. Clemens / Mark Twain"), signed in 1906 in anticipation of the release of the definitive edition, which was not released until after the author's death. Also signed by Twain's biographer Albert Bigelow Paine. Hand-numbered 806 in an edition of 1024.
36 volumes of the uniform set's complete 37 are present, the only exception being Volume XXXVI (
Mark Twain's Autobiography, volume one). Bound in the original half-blue cloth, with 31 dust jackets still present. Each volume has several illustrations. Octavo size (9 inches by 6 inches).
Condition
Good condition. Five dust jackets missing, and there are condition issues with some of the remaining dust jackets including tears at the creases and small losses. The volumes themselves show some toning from their age, but don't have any notable issues apparent.
