A pair of carved wooden candle holders in the form of neoclassical figures, with polychrome decoration. Italy, circa 1800. The candle arms are removable.
Each measures approximately 27" x 9 1/4" x 7" (not including candle height).
Extensive woodworm holes across the figures. The polychrome finish has a heavily aged appearance. There is some scattered chipping to the painted gesso covering the carved wood.
