A fine pair of Italian Baroque walnut tables, which may be used individually as two demilune consoles or together as a round center table. Circa late 17th to early 18th century. The tops of each table are constructed of two planks, with the edges hand-carved with egg-and-flute molding. The bases are scrolled designs highly typical of the era.
Each table measures 32" x 48" x 24" (together, 32" x 48" x 48").
The table shows its age gracefully, with some natural distress from use and nicely smoothed edges and surfaces. The tops of each table show dark staining and old scratches. Each table remains very structurally sound.
