A braided hair wreath of a Mr. and Mrs. William Butler, dated 1830 on an old piece of paper affixed to the reverse. Presented in an impressive Victorian shellwork shadowbox.
Measures 20" x 23 1/2".
Good condition, noting a little bit of fraying to the wreath, small losses to the shellwork, and a little scuffing to the sides of the frame.
