A Germanic Romantic mountainous landscape with clifftop castle, possibly inspired by Lichtenstein Castle. Signed indistinctly to the bottom right, but readable as "F.R. Unterberger" under blacklight. The frame measures 36" x 51".
Provenance: The Webster House collection.
There are about half a dozen small scrapes to the paint layer ranging from 1/4" to 1/2", in different areas of the scene. No in-painting or issues noted when observed under blacklight. Not re-lined.
