An antique Chinese porcelain ginger jar with cover, finely painted blue and white figural scene on a celadon ground. Three bat decoration to the cover. Unmarked. Measures 8 1/2" x 8 1/2".
Inside the jar was found a copy of a 1976 Certification of Antiquity declaring the piece to be more than 100 years old, with an accompanying letter from Hong Horizons (Burbank, California) relating to details of import.
Provenance: The estate of a Mission Hills collector. 100% of the proceeds from this lot will be donated to charity.
Good condition, noting a chip to the interior rim of the jar, under the cover.
