An antique pewter desk stand with two hinged top compartments, one for pen storage, and the other containing an inkwell and pounce pot. Stamped 1695 along the edge of the underside, and a residual stain from old handwritten script to the bottom one of the hinged lids also reads 1695. Measures 2" x 7 1/4" x 5".
Offered along with a pair of antique turned pewter push-up candle holders. Unmarked. Each measures 8" x 4 1/4".
The desk stand is heavily aged in appearance, the pounce pot is cracked, the glass inkwell insert has a broken rim.
