A pair of David Webb shell motif diamond pave clip earrings. Consisting of a center platinum setting of pave' diamonds followed by fluted 18k yellow gold swirl transitioning higher in the center. There is approximately 4.54 carat total weight in diamonds.
David Webb (1925-1975) started his jewelry company in 1948 and designed jewelry until his death in 1975 winning the prestigious Coty award in 1964. His list of clientele includes the First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor, and Beyonce. His company is still producing jewelry from his archive of nearly 40,000 drawings and designs, while many of his pieces can be found in several major art museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris.
