A pair of fluted David Webb Diamond Clip Earrings. Made of 18k gold and platinum these oval domed earrings have two rows of 15 diamonds each set in platinum while the rest of the earrings are fluted 18k yellow gold. There are 60 diamonds on the pair with 2.75 total carat weight.
David Webb (1925-1975) started his jewelry company in 1948 and designed jewelry until his death in 1975 winning the prestigious Coty award in 1964. His list of clientele includes the First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor, and Beyonce. His company is still producing jewelry from his archive of nearly 40,000 drawings and designs, while many of his pieces can be found in several major art museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris.
