A pair of Chinese carved wooden figures of prosperity, measuring 21" x 10" x 5" and 17" x 10" x 4 1/2". Both carvings bear a metal plaque to the underside noting that they were a part of the 2018 Christie's "Sale of the Century": the estate of Peggy and David Rockefeller.

The pair of figures were a gift from ambassador Everett Drumright to the Rockefellers on their 1958 trip to China. When the 2018 Rockefeller auctions concluded, the Rockefeller estate set the world record for the highest total price achieved at auction by any single collection.

One of the figures has a chipped corner to the base and a small area of rubbing to the back. Some cracking to each as is inherent to the material.
