An early 20th c. chinoiserie footrest, four beautifully detailed sculptural walnut foo dogs atop pedestals with floral relief designs, outfitted with brass casters. The footrest is tastefully dressed in vintage silken bird fabric.
Measures 13" x 25" x 17 1/2".
There are a few minor chips and losses, and a couple of epoxy repairs (fortunately those repairs, though rather crude, are in well hidden spots underneath). The present upholstered footrest may be a marriage with the original carved bases.
