A tall Bamana chiwara headdress, carved wood in the form of a female antelope with child, with hammered metal, leather, and fiber elements. Mali (style typical of the Segou region), circa mid-20th century. Mounted atop a stone base.
Measures 48" x 8 1/2" x 4 1/2".

Condition
Good condition, noting just a little bit of scattered scuffing/ chipping to the chiwara. Minor dings to two corners of the stone base.
