A large 36-tile panel hand-painted with a depiction of a snowy canal, after an original oil by Fredericus Jacobus van Rossum du Chattel (Dutch, 1856-1917). Framed with a tessellated floral relief celadon tile border. Inscribed to the bottom right tile: "n. Fred. du Chattel / LOTUS." All tiles mounted on a backing wood panel.
Measures 61 1/2" x 31".
Very good condition, noting some minor overall crazing. A few of the border tiles are chipped along the back edge (no chips to the fore-edges).
