An antique crazy quilt with embroidered stitching, flowers, and birds. Different fabrics used with silk, wool flannel, and cotton. With phrases "Home Sweet Home" and "This quilt is a present to you, Tom. From Mama." Maker initialed the quilt "R.P." and left an illustrated embroidery that states "Have clean hands and a pure heart." Really lovely example of a crazy quilt. Has tufted flannel backing. 19th century.
Measures 81 inches by 64 inches.
Quilt is in good condition. Some shattered silk panels.
