Eleven framed Arthur Rackham illustrations taken from a 1910 printing of Washington Irving's Rip Van Winkle (William Heinemann, London). The illustrations are color offsets, each measuring 7 3/4" x 5 1/4" and framed to 10 1/2" x 8".
Offered with the illustrations is the book from which they were removed, bound in gilt green cloth, 10" x 7 1/2", retaining many more illustrations.
Condition
The framed prints are in very good overall condition-- worth noting though is that three of the illustrations are framed slightly differently than the rest (similar size and also silver finish, but a different frame). Aside from missing the framed illustrations, the book shows some wear and bumping to the cover and some foxing to the first several leaves.
