A one-of-a-kind pine floor lamp with interior paper shade designed and crafted by artist, biochemist, writer, and polymath Wilfred Arnold. Designed with no commercial purpose, only used in its creator's own home for over 50 years. In addition to creating objects from mobiles to prints to furniture, Dr. Arnold was the author of The Illness of Vincent van Gogh: Chemicals, Crises, and Creativity (1994).
Provenance: The estate of the artist.
Lamp tested and in good working order. There are small dings across the paper shade. The pine is very structurally sound and cosmetically good, noting only minor staining.
