Walt Gonske (New Mexico, b. 1942) Ranchos de Taos, circa 1972 Watercolor on Arches paper 23 1/2" x 38 1/4" (sight) A large watercolor panorama of Taos County in northern New Mexico, from early in Walter Gonske's career in the Southwest. Signed and titled to the bottom right. Presented behind glass in a frame that measures 33" x 48". Provenance: From the corporate art collection of a Kansas City based Fortune 500 company.
The watercolor is in very good condition, noting only a little bit of gentle rippling inside the frame. The frame has a good number of small losses to the gilt molding.
