A large pair of Villeroy & Boch (Mettlach) Phanolith pottery plaques by artist Jean-Baptiste Stahl (1869-1932), depicting scenes from the Richard Wagner opera Lohengrin. White pate-sur-pate on green ground, circa 1900.
Each plaque measures 15 3/4" x 12 1/2", and each frame measures 25 3/4" x 21 3/4".
Provenance: The collection of Shirley Bush Helzberg.
Each appears to be in very good condition. Not observed out of frame.
