Matching "his and hers" chairs designed by the Afdal, the favorite designer of such mid-century dignitaries as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Emperor Hirohito. Unmarked.
The leather cushions are original, showing an aged patina but good and stable condition. The walnut also wears its nicely aged patina well. The leather arm straps show cracking, and the arm straps on the high-back chair have been nicely reinforced with pigskin. The high-back chair's canvas back support has residue at its crest, behind the leather cushion.
