A small pine blanket chest with red paint, exposed dovetail construction reinforced with hand-forged nails, and turned legs. The interior has a small lidded compartment. American, circa early 19th c.
Measures 19" x 31" x 15".
The bottom board has partial splitting from stress around the legs. General wear consistent with the age, including a minor loss at the back corner of the lid.
