A 1921 note signed by legendary psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud (Austrian, 1856-1939). The note, an analysis of a patient, was made on the letterhead of fellow psychologist Dr. Paul Federn, a representative of Freud and the Vice-President of the Vienna Psychoanalytic Society.? Nicely framed behind glass with a photograph of Freud and a translation from German to English, as follows: "Miss Kirschbaum, At the present time: Depressions - fits of fear, even with the approach of marriage, not removed. 10/21/21 /Signature/ Freud". Sight of the note measures 3 x 5.5 inches, frame measures 21.5 x 15.5 inches. Provenance: Purchased by the present owner in 1984 from the collection of Walter and Barbara Burks, Kansas-based dealers of historical documents.
