An unidentified 1930s oil of New York Harbor with the backdrop of the Manhattan skyline, the city awash in an expressive color palette. Signed "Stewart" to the bottom right, with previous speculation suggesting Robert Wright Stewart (New York, 1875-1980) as a possible attribution. Measures 11" x 14", housed in a frame that measures 18" x 20 1/2".
Condition
Mild buckling to the board. Some craquelure to the paint layer in the sky area.
