A wheel-thrown and hand-built whiteware teapot with generous tool marks, striking a balance between abstract and functional pottery. Clear glaze with green, yellow and pink accents. Reclaimed red plastic spout stopper.
Sandy Simon is the founder of the TRAX Gallery in Berkeley, CA, continuing a celebrated career as in Contemporary ceramics that has included stints as an educator at the Chicago Art Institute, Purdue University, and Indiana University Bloomington. She is married to sculptor and sometimes collaborator Robert Brady.
