Marker-signed and titled to the bottom margin alongside the artist's blind stamps. The reverse is notated and numbered in the artist's hand, "Edition: Special 2013. #2/10 Salas." Presented behind glass in a frame that measures 24 1/2" x 18 1/2".

Roberto Salas is best known as the photographer with personal access to Fidel Castro, documenting Castro's early days as a revolutionary, his rise in 1959, and his lifelong governance of Cuba. Through the second half of the 20th century, Salas's photography has captured contemporary life both big and small, with subjects ranging from the Vietnam War to simple daily life and culture of Cubans. His work has garnered him over 60 solo shows around the world.
