"Robert Horvitz studied art at Yale University (BA, 1969). He has had solo exhibitions of drawings at the Institute of Contemporary Art (Boston, Massachusetts, 1972), the Akron Art Institute (Akron, Ohio, 1972 and 1979), the Nexus Gallery (Atlanta, Georgia, 1985) and a large retrospective at Exhibition Hall Manes (Prague, 1999). Horvitz has taught art at Yale, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (School of Architecture), Massachusetts College of Art, and the Rhode Island School of Design.
