A good Basan impression, circa 1789-1809, with thread margins. Initialed and dated in the plate. Float-mounted over silk liner behind glass in an archival frame that measures 19" x 17 5/8".
Provenance: Bears an Atlas Galleries (Chicago) gallery tag to the reverse, complete with accompanying Certificate of Authenticity.
Good condition, noting a thin, pale border of mat burn.
