Pal Fried was a celebrated painter of femlae figures, whose academic training included studies with Claude Monet, Lucien Simon, and his mentor Hugo Pohl. One of Fried's favorite muses was Annabella-- here depicted-- the mononymous starlet of French cinema.
Condition
Good condition, with no touch-ups observed under blacklight inspection. There are stretcher creases to the canvas, as well as some rippling in the top right.
