A Napoleon III mirror with original glass and extensive gilt decoration, French, 19th century.
Measures 64" x 46".
Provenance: The Shirley Bush Helzberg and Webster House collections.
The glass is cracked in the small portrait medallion at the center crest. Cracking to the molded ornamentation, with some loss to the urn motif standing on the left of the frame. The original glass shows wear to the silvering commensurate with age.
