A vintage McGuire Furniture dining set, comprised of a BA-3 Bamboo Table designed by John McGuire (featuring a base of leather-wrapped bundles of cut bamboo), and six M-20 Rattan Side Chairs designed by Eleanor Forbes. Chairs marked to the back seat with the McGuire emblem. The table measures 29" x 96" x 46", and the chairs each measure 37" x 18" x 23". John McGuire (1920-2013) co-founded McGuire Furniture with his wife Elinor, and together they curated the casual luxury for which McGuire received international renown. In 1955, the McGuires collaborated with guest designer Eleanor Forbes (1898-1986), the longtime head of Gump's Interior Design department, and Forbes would create many of McGuire's most recognizable designs.

Condition

Very good condition, noting only abrasions on the chair backs at the height of the table, from rubbing against the glass when pushed in.
