A leather trunk containing several dozen reels of standard 8mm film with recordings from the 1940s and 1950s. Many canisters are labeled with the subjects of the recordings, largely relating to travel holidays or festivals-- one canister is labeled "Shanghai Hong Kong," another is labeled "Hawaii." A canister labeled "FDR returns to the White House" was converted to digital format (flash drive included, the recording is of a car procession taken from a crowd). The trunk also contains an old film splicer and assorted ephemera.
The trunk measures 11 1/2" x 18" x 18".
Condition
The film condition varies, but seems to be generally suspect-- the one reel converted to digital was viewed and is watchable but poor condition. The trunk also shows a fair amount of general wear and tear.
