A Germanic oil on canvas, a light-hearted monk scene full of music and festivities, signed and dated "Reinhardt. 1901" to the bottom left corner. Possibly attributable to Alfred Reinhardt. Offered in a period gilt frame measuring 42" x 58 1/2". The canvas measures 35" x 51".
Minor tenting across the canvas, with no losses. Mild stretcher marks from the center brace. The colors are somewhat darkened with age.
