Jose Navarro-Vives (Spanish, b. 1931) Still Life (Bodegon), 1989 Oil on canvas 32" x 39 1/2" A still life in heavy impasto, signed to the top right and bottom right. The reverse of the canvas bears a Vicente Piera (Barcelona) gallery stamp, and the stretcher has an ABANTE (Portland, OR) gallery sticker. Titled to the stretcher. Presented in a carved frame that measures 40 3/4" x 48 1/4". Provenance: A private collection in Kansas City, thence from Abante Gallery in Portland, Oregon.
Very good condition, noting a little gentle rippling to the canvas. No issues or touch-ups noted upon observation under blacklight.
