Marbled end papers and edges, original leather covers and spines. Interspersed with illustrations throughout, and having a complete index of fold-out maps in the second volume. Octavo size, with each volume measuring 9 1/4" x 6" x 2 1/2".
The cover's hinges are cracked but intact. Wear to the cover including a pronounced scuff to the back of the second volume. The text block of each volume is in very good condition.
