Jadeite jade carved bead heads of the Buddhist Monk Budai, popularly known as the "Happy Buddha" or "Laughing Buddha". The carved beads arestrung on a sterling chain with a sterling circle pendant. Inside the pendant is a free hanging Chinese character for "good fortune". There is an etched motif on the bottom of the pendant. There are fourteen Budai heads each approximately 1 inchtall. They freely move on the chain. The pendant is 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The chain is an oval link chain with a spring ring clasp 2 mm in diameter. The clasp is marked "Sterling". Condition
Very good condition. Some tarnish on the bale. The makers mark has been worn down.
