Two Prismatic tables
1957 design for Alcoa, later production by Vitra
Black enameled aluminum
14 3/4" x 16" x 18 1/4" (each)
Each is identified with a sticker affixed to the bottom that reads "Prismatic Table / Design: Isamu Noguchi / Vitra. 1988". The Prismatic table was commissioned in 1957 for Alcoa's Forecast Program, promoting the use of aluminum in home design; its folded design was inspired by the Japanese art of origami.
Each is in very good condition, with minor general wear.
