A lounge chair designed by Hans Juergens (German-American, 20th c.) for Deco House in the early 1960s. Molded walnut plywood shell supported by a solid walnut sled-form frame. Vintage Naugahyde cushions, each tufted and vented.
Measures approximately 34" x 26 1/2" x 33".
Note: The lounge chair's design has a long history of misattribution to Grete Jalk (Danish, 1920-2006) due to its similar stylistic elements and sensibility, as detailed in a January 2021 article by Trystcraft.
Condition
Very good condition, and structurally sound. The back cushion has a small puncture to its back side, easily hidden as the cushion is reversible. The back of the plywood shell has a shallow two inch scratch underneath the back cushion.
