An unsigned gouache of sailors outfitted in red Breton stripe shirts and white naval caps, working together to load their ship. First half 20th century. The composition and proportions suggest the painting may be a design for a mural. Not signed.
The mat window measures 6" x 20", and the glazed frame measures 12" x 26".
Spatter to the bottom left and bottom right corners. Minor scraping to the sheet. There is a moisture stain on the back of the sailor at the left.
