A Gorham sterling footed centerpiece or squat jardiniere, with two handles, elegantly chased with swags and a Georgian-style frieze. The underside is stamped with Gorham hallmarks and "STERLING A9984". "MDC" cursive monogram. A scarce design. Complete with the original reticulated silverplate domed frog for floral arrangement, stamped "ELECTRO PLATE A9984" on the rim. The sterling centerpiece weighs 28.37 ozt (not including the silver plate frog). Measures 5" x 12" x 9 1/2".
Very good condition, with some tarnish.
