A mahogany plant stand in the style of Louis XVI, produced circa 1900, having elegantly tapered legs, an inset marble top, and nicely cast ormolu mounts including goat-and-grape friezes and a flame stretcher finial. Measures 35 1/2" x 16" x 15 1/2".
Condition
Very sturdy, and cosmetically good. There is a slide-out tray that doesn't slide very well, and has some damage to the top. The frieze on the back apron has been lost, replaced with a stylistically appropriate but non-matching mount. A handful of mount pins are missing, resulting in some loose trim, but all mounts remains affixed and without losses.
