Ella Iranyi was a Jewish Austrian artist whose lively paintings have sold at auction for sums as high as €16,000. Her artistic prime was cut short with the onset of World War II, when she was arrested by the invading Nazi forces and deported to the Izbica ghetto, where she would tragically perish.
