Literature: Listed and photographed on EdwinDickinson.org under catalog number 215. Listed in the Edwin Dickinson Tribute Exhibition catalog as number 25. Detailed in the artist's journal as painted on the north coast of Nantucket in August 1933.

There is a 2" slice along the right edge of the canvas by the artist's hand, which is stable as mounted (the composition was cut down from a larger canvas by Dickinson as detailed in his journal, and the painting is pictured with the canvas slice in the 1977 exhibition catalog). No touch-ups or in-painting observed under blacklight inspection.
